When I saw that we were going to play Omescape I didn't expect much, having been disappointed at the time of our escape trip to Lyon.
BUT this online adventure in California knows how to take advantage of its location (not far from Hollywood) to hire MJs / actors and get into the online escape adventure and the result is very convincing.
It's complicated to talk about this adventure without the spoil and I must admit that it's the total surprise that I liked the most, so I'm going to make a point of remaining vague.
We are received here by a voice, a voice that reminds us of the rules of online escapes and above all reminds us of the few specific rules. We quickly understood that during these 90! minutes of play some things would be different, because you are taught that when you conduct the investigation you will probably fail and that in this case you will start again by remembering things you have already experienced. Well, I didn't understand it right away, but soon enough in the end it will all make sense.
Right from the beginning we are confronted with this special and original gameplay, Our surprise was great to find some gameplay mechanisms that we had already met in another room a few months ago: Mrs. Jezebel that we really loved....
We will spend 90 minutes proving that Nissassa, this very high and egocentric artist with the strangest tastes is above all: a murderer.
We will be moving into Nissassa's flat/workshop. The place is interesting and realistic. The game is varied and the characters are a mixture of observation, fantasy, a good sense of repartee and reflection. The whole is well balanced and playful.
I can only recommend a good level of English to enjoy it fully as interaction is important.
Several aspects of this game reminded me of Mrs. Jezebel, but less WTF (see article) somewhere everything was more thoughtful, less offbeat and daring. So there was a certain distance between us and the action.
Somehow it reminded me of a video game with several lives and it's a very interesting innovation for an escape game.
The number of puzzles was sufficient and the 90 minutes were very useful.
To sum up this adventure is very innovative, fun and interesting. If you like the interaction and the rooms combining imagination and puzzles, don't hesitate, you will be surprised.
